The Office of the Vice-Provost, Academic Facilities, coordinates long-term and short-term facilities planning and management of space in all academic units, with specific involvement in design, construction, furniture and equipment purchasing, and relocation of units.
The Vice-Provost serves as liaison between academic units reporting to the Provost and the Office of the Vice-President, Services (which includes Facilities Management, design professionals, construction project managers, Security, EH&S, and IITS) on various relocation and construction projects. The Office of the Vice-Provost, Academic Facilities also interacts frequently with the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Graduate Studies regarding grant applications that involve the addition of new facilities or the modification of existing ones.
The Vice-Provost is responsible for overseeing the Controlled Goods Program and serves as Designated Official for the University.
The Office of the Vice-Provost, Academic Facilities oversees Concordia’s participation in the HECHMET project.
